In a momentous announcement, the esteemed colleagues of The California Academy for Economic Development (The Academy) have chosen a worthy individual to serve as its Chair between 2023 through 2026, commencing on July 1, 2023.

The Chair and its knowledgeable Board of Regents and staff will continue the organization’s outstanding work, fostering healthy and vibrant communities through economic advancement.
The Academy’s commitment to excellence is evident in its implementation of the Accredited California Economic Developer (ACE) Certification Program. This initiative equips economic developers with the necessary skills and knowledge to drive growth and prosperity within their communities.
The partnership with CALED and Fresno State University to present the International Economic Development Council’s accredited Basic Course, “Keys to Successful Economic Development,” further reinforces the organization’s dedication to professional development.
Recognizing the importance of robust leadership in economic development, The Academy offers Local Elected Official Training (LEO) programs. The Academy empowers them to make informed decisions that positively impact their communities and provide education and training to government leaders.
Amidst The Academy’s commitment to fostering talent and growth, it has established a Memorial Scholarship fund. This initiative allows aspiring economic developers to advance their education and serve the communities dedicated to uplifting.
